dude this is spectacular, i love concept, I love how you incorporated things like the real parts of an apache gunship helicopter flir or (forward looking infrared) system along with a bomber landing gear, combined with things like a real pitot static system at the front seen on some choppers, the canopy looks like its from the dragon fly drop ship in the movie aliens and i'm actually noticing hellfire missiles on the wings, 10 out of 10 for sure, love it, Please do more
Magnificently done, awesome and intimidating at first glance, and I'm making no criticism against your skills as an artist, but it's aerodynamically flawed. I understand that the aerobrakes are deployed, but it's otherwise still built to stay on the ground with everything angled forward. I see no lifting surface. I see no thrust vectoring to overcome the aerodynamic down-pinning, and everything about it generates drag.
Here's how to make this design fly: remove the top-of-the-wing features Incease the wingspan Extend the nosegear to increase the angle of attack, bringing the rear fuselage parallel to the ground
@ westernnomad - It floats by pixie dust dude. It scoops up pixies during combat and grinds them up in the boxes on the wings. Ground up pixies are better than anti-gravity. They absorb g's and keep the pilot brain from squeezing out his eyeballs under heavy accelerations. That's what provides the lift. You don't know anything about aerodynamics at all. Either that or magical hamsters in the wheels.
Valid points but I have to mention that this is a submission for Star Citizen (Unless I am mistaken) for the gunship contest so they took some artist liberty since this is also a spacecraft. Plus if they follow your points I think we'll have a product that looks too close to Pelican from Halo.
